Acute respiratory tract infections and acute aastroenteritis are a major cause for childhood death in D.R. Congo. For the price of only a few dollars oral antibiotics and rehydration therapy can be used to treat serious infections and support children as they recover. Due to high rates of food and water contamination young children are the greatest victims of the many respiratory infections and diarrhoeal illnesses that affect them.
Our goal is to provide free courses of antibiotic therapy and oral rehydration therapy to at least 100 underprivileged children between 0 birth to 5 years old. CONDADA will also work with our colleagues in D.R. Congo to help promote proven methods to reduce acute gastroenteritis due to food poisoning. We believe that this small action can make the world of difference for someones family. Please help us to save a life.
